Folding Operation of 1000kg Foldable Gantry Crane for Maintenance & Repair Jobs

Video Introduction

Watch the folding operation of a 1000kg Foldable Gantry Crane designed for mobile lifting applications.

In many workshops and factories, lifting is not required every day. But when a motor, gearbox, pump, mold, or machine component needs repair, a reliable lifting solution is needed immediately.

This 1000kg foldable gantry crane can be quickly folded, moved, and stored after the job. Its compact design makes it suitable for maintenance teams, service engineers, and workshops where permanent cranes are not available.

After working with different customers on lifting solutions, I noticed something interesting.

Many small workshops and maintenance teams don't actually need a crane every day.

But when they need one, they need it right away.

A motor suddenly fails.
A pump needs replacement.
A gearbox needs to be removed.
A mold needs to be changed.

These jobs usually happen in places where there is no permanent overhead crane.

At first, some customers tried other solutions. They used forklifts, rented lifting equipment, or asked several workers to move the load manually. It works sometimes. But the problems are obvious.

A forklift may be too large to enter a narrow workshop.
Manual lifting takes too much manpower and is not safe.
Renting a crane for a small repair job is often not economical.

That's where a 1000kg Foldable Gantry Crane becomes practical.

For example, imagine a maintenance engineer working in an automotive repair workshop. The technician needs to remove a 600kg motor from a machine. The repair area is small, and there is no overhead crane above the equipment.

With a foldable gantry crane, the process is simple:

Bring the crane close to the machine.
Open and adjust the frame.
Lift the component.
Finish the repair.
Fold the crane and move it away.

The whole idea is flexibility.

What I like most about this design is not only the 1000kg lifting capacity. It is the fact that the crane can follow the worker.

After the job, one person can manually fold the crane in about 2 minutes. No power supply is needed. No forklift is required. The folded crane can be placed into a cargo van and transported to the next customer's site.

Of course, there are limitations.

This type of crane is not designed for a steel mill, casting workshop, or production line that requires hundreds of lifting operations every day. In those environments, a fixed overhead crane is usually the better choice.

But for machine maintenance, equipment installation, factory service work, mold handling, and small workshop applications, a foldable gantry crane solves a very real problem.

Actually, many customers don't buy it because they need to lift 1000kg every hour.

They buy it because they don't want to be stuck when a lifting problem appears.

A compact crane that is always available, easy to move, and ready in minutes can save much more time than people expect.
