Lifting hooks with eye hook design is connected with a sling permanently and is a permanent part of the sling which will be taken out of service entirely if the sling eye hook is bent, cracked or stretched. However, you can move and place the the eye hooks flexibly to connect a lifting position according to your needs.

Clevis Hooks

Clevis hooks is a type of lifting hooks with a "U" shaped clevis top which can be connected to a chain sling easily and quickly by a bolt or pin. With flexible connection design, the clevis hooks is a good alternative to eye hooks which do not need a certified welder to connect the hook to the chain slings and also can be replaced quickly and easily when necessary. Here please bear in mind that proof-testing are needed to all the lifting hooks and slings when come into use. Compared with eye hooks, the clevis hooks are pivoted side to side to help connect the hook to a lifting point without much flexibility.

Swivel Hooks

Lifting hooks with a swivel top hook design offers a 360° rotation movement which can be grouped into Positioning swivel hooks and true swivel hooks with bearing.

Positioning Swivel Hook is designed to swivel when the aligning and positioning of the hook onto the pick point is required to secure the attachment to the load but is not allowed to be rotated under loading.

True Swivel Hook with Bearing is designed with a bearing which enables the 360°rotation under loading possible, which can prevent rigging from twisting under loading effectively.

Forging Hook-The forged lifting hook is used for lifting loads with capacity below 75tons with single hook design and for heavier loads handling with double hook design. The forged crane hooks are made of high quality low carbon steel or low carbon alloy steel, such as16Mn,20MnSi,36MnSi, which is annealed after being forged with simple processing and easy operation however its stress condition is not as good as laminated hook. Laminated Hook-Laminated hook are made of several pieces of steel plates which are riveted to provide high safety when one individual steel plate has flaws, the whole crane hook still can work without being damaged. With high safety and large dead weight, laminated hook is usually adopted on heavy duty crane with large lifting capacity, such as, steel mill ladle cranes, etc.
